We intend to let you upload a score so Cadence can measure your take against the written notes, and it will be a premium feature when it arrives. It does not exist today, it is not part of what £4.99 buys right now, and we would rather say so here than let you find out after paying.
Why coaching is the only paid part
Pitch detection, the waterfall lane and the whole analysis run on your own phone, using your phone's processor. They cost us nothing per use, so charging for them would be arbitrary – and that includes the plain-words summary of your numbers, which your phone works out on its own. Written coaching is different: each report is a real call to a language model that we pay for. That is the line, and it is drawn where our costs actually are.
Coaching is written from your measurements – landing accuracy, drift, vibrato, where your scoops sit. Never from your audio, which never leaves your device on any tier.

Is Cadence free?
Yes. Every practice tool is free and stays free: the live pitch lane, the trainer, the vocal range test, the tone-deaf test, breath and vibrato measurement, and unlimited song takes with the full analysis on each one. You also see your numbers written out in plain words after every take, and your first AI coaching report is free.
What does £4.99 a month get me?
Written AI coaching on every take, instead of just your first one. It reads your measurements and tells you what changed since last time and the single thing worth trying next. Coaching is the only part of Cadence that costs us money each time it runs, which is why it is the only part behind a wall.
What do I still get after my free report is used?
Everything except the written coaching. You keep unlimited takes, the full analysis on each one, your progress over time, and a plain-words summary of every take’s numbers, worked out on your own phone at no cost to us or you. What you no longer get is the coach reading them back to you.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. The range test and the tone-deaf test run in your browser with no sign-up at all. An account is only needed to save takes and track progress across sessions.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes, any time, from the account screen. You keep premium until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drop back to free – your takes and history stay exactly where they are.
Does my singing get uploaded when I pay?
No. Paying changes nothing about how your audio is handled. Recording, pitch detection and analysis all run on your own device, and only the resulting numbers are ever sent to us. There is no cloud microphone on any tier.
